11.20.07 New photos!
11.06.07 It's voting day, meaning the big election is only a year away; only one candidate has had the foresight to get America's most pretty good band on their campaign (thus far).

09.10.07 Check out this YouTube clip from WTF's show at Harper's Ferry on Aug. 31.
09.08.07 New Chris's Corner!
08.31.07 The new album is here! It'll be available soon on iTunes and CD Baby; until then you'll have to actually ask a member of the band for a CD (Wes will autograph a copy for $5 or a juice box).
04.16.07 New live dates! Don't forget to hire the band for something and pay them a lot of money!
02.06.07 New Chris's Corner!
01.01.07 Happy New Year from the band! Duncan resolved to finally get his debilitating flatulence under control, and everyone else resolved to stay the hell out of the tour bus at all times.
12.27.06 New Download and new Photos!
12.25.06 WTF remembers James Brown.
12.24.06 Happy Holidays from WTF (Wes won't let us say "Merry Christmas," not because he's half Jewish but because he prefers alliterative salutations)!
11.18.06 New Chris's Corner! |
10.03.06 New Haikus!
07.30.06 New Chris's Corner!
07.23.06 Thanks to everyone who helped with WTF's mini tour to North Conway (it was really more of an excuse for Reilly and Clapton to have some alone time in the country together than it was a chance for WTF to play some shows).
07.08.06 Congrats also to Renee and Brad, the newlyweds for whom WTF performed tonight (that's right, they do weddings; they're also very open-minded, so consider hiring them for same sex union ceremonies).
05.28.06 Congratulations to J.Z., who graduated from school today (Duncan was the keynote speaker, and he talked about the need for increased community outreach towards disadvantaged women who happen to be single, attractive, and free this weekend).
04.20.06 Try not to die today, people (you hippie-types are what keep WTF afloat).
04.02.06 Thanks to everyone (especially Tom Weaver) who came out to the show last night! Check the live dates to see when WTF will return to Conn College.
03.31.06 Wes's bio is finally up (it usually takes him just about a year to fill out a one-page survery, so really the wait wasn't that long).
03.26.06 Read previous entry (make sure to continue to holla).
02.07.06 New photos! Holla.
02.03.06 The main page finally got an update, thanks in large part to the efforts of J.Z. (he thought that he should take a cue from his little stepbrother Jay-Z and go a little more "Miami").
02.02.06 Happy Groundhog Day to all of you Pennsylvanians out there! Everyone else can still be excited, though, because WTF is almost done with its latest and greatest album, tentatively titled America's Wang (send your superior album name suggestions to creilly@comcast.net). Finally, head over to the For the Fans section to check out its new look.
12.28.05 The site is one year old today, which actually makes it the fourth oldest member of the band (Wes is only 11 months).
12.20.05 Happy Holidays from Welcome to Florida! Don't forget, the band's CDs make great gifts (unlike back rubs, which women only pretend to like so they don't hurt Wes's feelings).
11.14.05 A new installment of Chris's Corner hits the newsstands today, but you can get it right here for free (Reilly will give you pretty much anything for free if you ask him nicely).
11.12.05 The band thanks everyone who showed up and boogied down at the show at Bates last night, and a special thanks goes to the people who had sex on the couch in the back of the room while concert was going on (check out the Downloads section for some sexy footage).
10.30.05 There are new Photos. Look at them now.
10.04.05 The Reviews and Photos sections have both been updated. Proceed appropriately.
09.27.05 Be sure to catch WTF at Harlow's in Peterborough, NH, this Friday. It could be the band's best show ever (though it will be hard to top that time they played on top of the Berlin Wall as it was being torn down).
09.24.05 Thanks to everybody who came to the show at Bates last night and rocked out! Anyone who couldn't make it really missed out (especially the band's PA system). Also, check out the reformatted Lyrics section (be gentle with your criticism; it's still under construction).
09.16.05 Take a look at the new batch of pics in the Photos section, BUT LOOK WITH YOUR EYES, NOT YOUR HANDS (this means you, Wes).
09.05.05 Happy 21st birthday to Reilly, who has just died of alcohol poisoning (another youngster buried by one too many Seabreezes).
09.01.05 It's September, which means it's finally time to pack away the flip-flops, the tank-tops, the sunscreen, and all of the other trappings of Summer. Well, that is, uh, unless you live here in Florida, umm, just like the band does, heh, uhhh, I mean of course, Welcome to Florida actually lives in Florida, otherwise it would just be ridiculous, right? Haha, right? Ehh... Alright, man, play it cool. They're not onto you, they're idiots. They have no idea what's going on. Just sit back, relax, that's right, take it easy, keep it together baby, keep it together. Aaaanyway, the For the Fans section just got a facelift, so be sure to swing by later. Reilly also got a facelift, but it's really nothing that you would ever want to look at.
08.31.05 There's a new installment of Chris's Corner, so peep that shizz.
08.30.05 Check out some new photos that just came in. I mean, that is, unless you're blind, uhh, oh God, hey I'm really sorry I didn't realize, so STUPID, UGH, please, I didn't mean anything by it, y'know, oh man I gotta get it together.
08.28.05 Thanks to everyone who helped out and/or rocked out at WesFest 2005. Special thanks to Landshark, Somebody's Hero, and Windsor Johnson and His Men-O-War for helping WTF to carry the funkload (J.Z. couldn't lift anything because he pulled a hammie having sex in a hammock).
08.22.05 Reilly had the greatest hair day of his life today. Ladies, forward your romantic inquiries to creilly@comcast.net (and by "ladies" Reilly means "land-dwelling mammals that are currently alive").
08.16.05 New stuff in the Photos section. Try to FOCUS on the hilarity. Tee-hee!
08.14.05 Check out a pair of new columns from WTF's own Chris Reilly (you can also check out his pair in the Photos section). Also be sure to sneak a peek at the new haikus.
07.17.05 Wes is back from his extensive trek of the Pacific Northwest. Next time you see him, make sure to ask him very specific questions about the history, culture, and geography of the region. He will be more than happy to oblige!
07.01.05 Happy First of July everybody! To celebrate, check out some of the new photos, a new batch of chuckles courtesy of Duncan, some long overdue advice from Reilly, and a mystery update hidden somewhere on the site. Contact the band if you think you find it; the first fan to correctly identify it will get a prize (probably something Wes wore at one point).
06.06.05 Check out some of the new stuff in the Downloads section.
06.05.05 Finally, the Jiggaman has his very own page on the site, where he will dole out his opinions on everything pop culture (although mostly music and movies).
06.05.05 The band thanks everyone who came out to rock with them at any of their shows this weekend. Special recognition goes to WTF's new choreographer Joey. Hot moves are forthcoming.
05.17.05 Take a peek at the brand new Lyrics section. Now all the band has to do is write some good songs.
05.13.05 It's Friday the 13th, so be careful while showering in abandoned mental hospitals or making out late at night in barns. For good luck, be sure to catch WTF at the Hog's Trough Saloon in Manchester on June 23rd.
05.08.05 The band thanks everyone who braved the cold and wetness (the rain kind, not the getting lost in Wes's eyes kind) last night at the show at Keene. WTF promises to play all their future shows in sealed, climate-controlled BioSpheres.
05.01.05 WTF welcomes back their favorite TV show, Family Guy. Well, it's actually only Reilly's, Duncan's, and Jigga's favorite show; Wes's favorite is still Blue's Clues.
04.20.05 Happy holidays from WTF.
04.17.05 The WTF show went quite swimmingly yesterday, thanks in no small part to the presence of Windsor, Sam, Tyler, and, of course, DJ Mixxxmaster BenJammin' Hu$k. Thanks to everyone who came out to witness the rock.
04.01.05 WTF regrets to inform its fans and followers that as of last evening, March 31, 2005, it is no longer a band and well never record or perform together again. The members apologize to any and all of the people who may be disappointed or inconvenienced by this news. The members also wish to deeply thank any groups or individuals who helped advance their music-making experience. Anyone who seeks more information is asked to direct all inquiries and comments here.
03.31.05 Break out your calendars and pencil in some time to catch the WTF show at the Abbey Lounge in Somerville, MA, on June 2.
03.30.05 WTF remembers Mitch Hedberg.
03.29.05 WTF will be opening for The Presidents of the United States of America and The Jazz Mandolin Project at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, on Saturday, April 16. More info will be available as soon as Wes gets his act together.
03.27.05 The site is back from a two week hiatus, which has nothing to do with Reilly's two week spring break.
03.08.05 Yes, this is, incredibly, the second post of today. Jigga's full bio is now available (Wes's will be finished as soon as he becomes literate).
03.08.05 Surf over to the About the Band section and click on the pictures to get to the brand new band member bios. Only Duncan and Reilly have filled theirs out yet (they're the cooler ones anyway), so you'll have to be patient.
03.07.05 The About the Band and Photos sections have been updated. Check them out (if you're cool).
03.06.05 The band wants to report a highly successful recording session this weekend. The new album will be out before you know it (but that's mostly because you don't have a well-honed sense of time).
03.04.05 Check out the newest section on the site. You might just learn something (not necessarily something useful).
03.02.05 The recording of the new album shall commence this Saturday in Boston (the band promises it will be better than Arrive Alive).
03.01.05 The band would like to wish everyone out there a Happy March 2005. As a reminder, that only gives you a few more weeks to send in your taxes (Note: WTF CDs can be written off as work expenses by any record label moguls that would like to give the band a million dollars).
02.22.05 Today the band started pre-production on their forthcoming album. For those of you not "in the know," pre-production essentially entails Duncan telling J.Z. that "at least one of the new tunes needs to have like this really Prince meets Joe Jackson meets ABBA meets Dishwalla sound." The album is due out in 2009.
02.20.05 Reilly just found a penny.
02.15.05 After a long wait, the Welcome to Florida Advanced Computing Center is back up and running. As you might expect, the problem was Wes-related; he dropped a half-noshed cinnamon raisin bagel into the band's server hub and never told anyone about it until he got hungry yesterday afternoon. But now that the site is back, check out Duncan's brand new section.
02.02.05 WTF is sorry to report that they have lost their entire budget for the recording of their forthcoming album. Early reports indicate that Wes lost the money when he bet against Punxsutawney Phil seeing his shadow this morning. If you would like to donate money to the recording of the album, the band requests that you do not give it to Wes.
01.31.05 After a brief hiatus, construction of the site has resumed. Remember to keep sending in your suggestions.
01.22.05 Feast your ears on the now available show WTF did at Mojo Music Studios last month.
01.21.05 The Front Page of the site has been reconfigured in response to the requests of fans with lame computer monitors. Enjoy the new layout and keep the Feedback coming.
01.11.05 The site now has its own Message Board, which you might notice is the same as the one at the old site. Until the band locates the hottest spot to construct a new board, go ahead and use the old one for all of your inter-fan communicae.
01.09.05 The Backyard was mowed, landscaped, groomed, partied in, trashed, cleaned back up, and then updated, so be sure to surf over and check it out. The band is excited about finally letting everyone see all the different things the public and their celebrity peers say about them.
01.07.05 The old version of the new site is no more (but you probably already knew that). Now the advent of slightly higher technology can begin. Truly, the mediocrity that is Welcome to Florida now has its own reflection on the information super highway. |
12.30.04 Today the band headed up to the most northern extremes of the lovely Granite State to visit the delightful dudes that operate Mojo Music Studios in Easton. It was a blast as usual, and everyone looks forward to hearing the live songs and interviews that WTF put to tape. The program should air towards the end of January or the beginning of February. |
12.28.04 The WTF News section has arrived after a great deal of tireless effort on the part of Reilly (it really wasn't that hard). Be sure to check back here as often as possible to see some real news snippets.
